Background – Workplace communication?
Workplace communication means employees exchanging ideas and information. Effective communication is essential for any job, no matter how it is done in-person or virtually. It is also part of an organization's internal communications efforts.
Communication is a two-way process. It is important to establish context and choose the right medium or channel. A context must be established to enable effective communication.
Clear context is the key to clear messages. Quantified Communications, a business communication advisory firm, discovered that businesses employing approximately 100 people spend an average of 17 hours per week clarifying unclear messages. This results in an annual productivity loss of $525,000.
A thriving business depends on effective workplace communication. Workplace communication has changed with the advent of largely virtual work in many industries.
According to a Workforce poll, approximately 60% of companies don't have a long-term plan for their internal communications. The business's communication strategy can be reviewed and updated to determine the direction and focus for ideas creation and sharing that will guide its future.
Aims and Objectives of this course
This course Communicate in the workplace (based on BSBCMM201) will help you earn the skills necessary to effectively communicate in your workplace. This includes gathering, conveying and receiving information together with completing routine written correspondence.
Our Communicate in the workplace course is based on the unit of competency of BSBCMM201 . Whilst this course is not nationally recognised, it follows the learning outcomes and elements associated with that unit. The course contains

- Online Assessment tasks
- Ability to download your Certificate of Completion once assessment tasks are completed
What will you learn by completing the training course?
This course will include an understanding of awareness of the relevant legislation and your responsibilities in communicating effectively in the workplace .

- Complete workplace documentation and correspondence
- Communicate in a way that responds positively to individual differences
How Is the Training Delivered?
Communicate in the workplace course is available online and completed in your own time. This Communicate in the workplace training course is based on the learning outcomes outlined above.

What Accreditation Will You Get?
