Dr. Phillips, the much loved and highly respected editor of Vital Christianity has over the years developed an interesting and imposing perspective upon which to base this volume. As a young man he was awarded undergraduate degrees from both San Diego State College, California, and Anderson College in Indiana. He then attended the School of Religion at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana where he earned the B.D and M.A. degrees. Later he received the honorary D.D. degree from Anderson College, Anderson, Indiana.
