We are Corey and Leanne Silverman, owners of The Furnace, a public access glassblowing studio and gallery located in the heart of the Denver Metro area along the 40 West Arts creative district. Having co-owned and operated a professional hotshop since 2007, we officially launched The Furnace: a glassworks in 2016 as a welcoming space for creativity to thrive (with a little fun along the way.)

Corey Silverman formally trained as a glass artist at Alfred University in upstate NY. Upon graduating in 1998, he worked at several glass studios around the country before settling in Denver, CO. He has experimented with slumped forms, casting, cold work, and solid sculpting but seems to always come back to the blown form. When he’s not making lovely glass objects to send to our retail partners nationwide, Corey enjoys experimenting in the hotshop, creating unique one-of-a-kind works of art, and inspiring others to explore their creativity through hands-on glassblowing classes.

Amazing. A bit of a job to set it up but worth it!

Excellent quality. Sturdy and strong. The screws that come with it are awful. Get yourself some different ones. Takes a while to set it up and get it all measured. I did it while I was setting up my new Flexi-spot E7 Plus standing desk. Wanted to get it all done at the same time. At first. I thought it might be overkill, but I am sooooo glad I did get this. Now my computer moves along with the desk. It looks great. I bet it has improved the air flow around my computer as well. Looks sleek and cool. I might have set it a bit too tight around my case and as a result I have to shimmy it to get it out of the holder if I have to do any work on the computers internals. But at least I know it's secure. My suggestion would be to leave a little bit of slack to avoid this in your setup. Maybe like a 1/4 inch would be ok. The pads should hold it in place anyway. May loosen mine up if I find the time. But it feels totally secure on the desk with no wobble or shaking. Great product. Also I'm a woman in my late fifties 😃and I was able to set it all up on my own. So don't be intimidated ladies, you can do it too. I also bought two of the ultimate set up cable management trays. Great products. Note for anyone from the Ultimate Setup company who might read this. Please provide better quality wood screws and some extra ones) I stripped three of the cheap ones that came with this. And it took forever to drill them in because they weren't strong enough. Then it would be perfect.
