Eco-schuursponsje van LUFFA
Eco-schuursponsjes van LUFFA zijn soepel en flexibel. Ideaal voor bijvoorbeeld de afwas. Het sponsje zet uit als het nat wordt en ligt daardoor lekker in de hand. Het sponsje gaat 3 maanden mee en slijt nagenoeg niet. Het sponsje is volledig composteerbaar, 100% natuurlijk en plastic-vrij. De luffa voor deze schuurspons komt van een ecologische luffa-boerderij in Spanje. Ben je toe aan een nieuwe ? Dan kan de oude gewoon bij het GFT.
Olijf zeepvlokken
Deze traditionele groene olijf zeepvlokken komen van het familiebedrijf Patounis uit Corfu, een eiland in Griekenland. De zeep wordt gemaakt van puur verzeepte olijfolie samen met een beetje zeezout en water. De zeep heeft van nature een heerlijke frisse geur. De olijfolie komt van locale boeren van het eiland zelf. Voor deze zeep wordt de olie van de allerlaatste persing gebruikt. Zonder toevoeging van kokos- of palmolie wordt deze olie op een traditionele manier verzeept. Deze techniek van zeep maken staat in Griekenland op de lijst van immaterieel cultureel erfgoed en lijkt erg op Marseillezeep, maar dan zonder kokosolie.
Deze zeepvlokken zijn zeer geschikt om zelf vloeibare zeep of vaste zeep van te maken. Het is ideaal voor allerlei schoonmaakklusjes, waaronder de afwas.

Tegenwoordig schuren we met onze plastic schuursponsjes de microbeads letterlijk in ons schone drinkwater. Daar heeft dit sponsje geen last van! Sterker nog, ben je er klaar mee, dan eindigt dit sponsje boven op de composthoop als voedsel voor de aarde. Mooier kan het toch niet?
Doordat dit product een natuurproduct is, hoeft men niet te slepen met vervuilende grondstoffen zoals bij de synthetische variant. De zon, aarde en lucht zijn de grondstoffen voor dit product. Dat scheelt een hoop vervuiling en CO2 uitstoot. Deze Eco-schuursponsjes groeien in Spanje en komen gewoon over land deze kant op.
Ditzelfde geldt voor de zeep. De zeep wordt lokaal gemaakt op de plek waar de olijven groeien in Griekenland. Geen heen en weer gesleep met grondstoffen en de lokale bevolking verdient een eerlijke prijs. Deze zeep is 100% natuurlijk, volledig biologisch afbreekbaar en te gebruiken voor allerlei schoonmaakklusjes.

A Comprehensive and Well-Mapped Camino Guide

This updated edition of the Camino de Santiago guide offers a thorough overview of all six major routes. It's really great that you can download detailed, panoramic maps for each route, providing clear, step-by-step directions that are extremely helpful for planning and navigating. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pilgrim, the insights into each stage, town, and accommodation (from hostels to albergues) are invaluable.
The book also covers essential packing tips and advice on physical preparation, which I found very practical. There are bonus links for accommodation guides are very useful, as well as other bonus links scattered throughout.
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that I felt it could include more in-depth cultural or historical background for each route. That said, if you’re looking for a guide that’s all about practicality and gets you started with planning your pilgrimage, this is an excellent choice.

This book is gold, well written.

This is one of few IT books I'd recommand. Reading this book really save a lot of grindings in advancing my career. The knowledge shared in the book is came from real and actual practice in the IT field. I wish there are more authors like Jay.
This book is a treasure to me, it is unlike most of the other books I read that were either teaching outdated config or title baits, for example, the "official" CCNP 350-401 book that taught me the outdated ikev1 crypto map config. I own the LPI essential certificate during my college time, but the college course didn't give me the same confidence as this book. I am now feeling very comfortable and confident with Linux system and I found the beauty in it.
I am 100% recommanding this book to everyone are interested in Linux, either for personal or at work. This book will be my reference to go at all time.

Best written tech book I've read in a long time
Format: Paperback
I've been following Jay on youtube since I decided to ditch Microsoft for Linux. He is a blend of Sys Admin and teacher. He makes a complicated subject understandable even to a 75 year old retiree. The best way to master Ubuntu server is to listen, watch, read and do. Thanks Jay; GOOD BOOK!

Comprehensive?
Format: Paperback
I am a huge fan of Jay LaCroix and happy to support him by buying this book. That said, this book is in my opinion fully priced and not very comprehensive. My guess is it has more to do with Packt publishing and less to do with Jay. For sure, the content that is there is good and easy to consume ... as per Jay's style. And to be fair a truly comprehensive book would probably be another 1000 pages long. But a couple examples: cursory coverage of systemd:. eg discussion is on chron, crontab, etc instead of systemd timers. NTP server: if you have an Ubuntu server it would be great to set it up as your LAN NTP server for all your devices to sync time. Here is the coverage in this book "all servers should have the ntp package installed" Really? Do I need to disable systemd-timesyncd? Do I need to limit access by lan? How about setting up an Nginx reverse proxy for LAN services like unifi, pihole, etc? Sorry 3 pages of coverage. I am not trying to run down this book, only suggest that if you are looking for an authoritative comprehensive guide on Ubuntu 22.04, this probably will not be your only purchase. With all the foregoing, I would still buy this book if for no other reason than to support the author.
