How to Figure out Those Names in Old Written Records Without your Mother’s Help!

54,707 Modern American Surnames, each used by 30 or more families in the United States today.

Hereditary, or family, names present the most difficult element of language for Researchers to decipher when working with handwritten records or oral histories. This is primarily because human names are constructed of linguistic elements (or parts) which often are quite ancient... whose meanings are no longer familiar to us. Nor do they share contextual affinity with other elements of the text in which they appear.

For that reason, a Lexicon of modern American Surnames arranged in a reverse alphabetical order will be a useful, if not essential, reference work for anyone attempting to read and transcribe handwritten public records or correctly interpret recorded Oral Histories.

The usefulness of this Lexicon stems from the fact that names contain a limited variety of endings which, by long usage, have become quite familiar to us. These name endings are often the first part we recognize when confronted with a new and difficult name. This is true, although the first part may be quite strange to us. A listing of the possible choices of 'beginnings' with which these 'endings' may be 'connected' will aid greatly in deciphering the true name.

But a single sample will exemplify this better than all the words in a dictionary. Take for example a document in which you can clearly see that a strange name ends in -----RICK; a look at page 111 shows that RICK is the first name in column 4 and the last name ending in RICK is WYRICK at the beginning of column 3 on page 112. That's more than 100 different choices. However after closer examination you determine the next letter is an "M" making you puzzle ---MRICK. Your choices have now narrowed to three choices HAMRICK,EMRICK and HENRICK. You may now concentrate on determining whether the first letter is an "H" or an "E" (here the length of the word should dictate the choice "H") and you are left with discriminating between "AM" an "EN." So, have at it and expect near perfect results.

"An independent researcher whose specialized area is 18th century American business records he is expert in reading and transcribing 18th century handwriting. His diligence and precision in working with such rare items result in providing a new level of accessibility for researchers in all appropriate fields. I only wish our collection included more material of this kind."

Hot enough to melt the ice rink
Format: Kindle
This was yet another great read by Cassie Cole. June has just started as the trainer for the Atlanta Reapers. Succeeding in this male dominated role is important to her, but the more she learns about these men the more she wonders if some things are worth risking everything for. As their trainer, the men are supposed to be off limits, but they can't deny the pull they each feel. The closer to Cole, Rhett & Elias she becomes the more she realizes that she may not be able to choose between them. Is it worth the risk to her career to continue to pursue a relationship with one of the men.... let alone the risk to all their careers if they would be open to consider a more unconventional relationship. Is love worth the risk? Read this steamy story to find out!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hat Trick (A Hockey Reverse Haven Romance)
Format: Kindle
I loved this book, what a trip! All the things a girl could want, plus getting Alice involved with their family. Nothing better than a lot of sex and love and a great sport, the baby sill be so spoiled when they have one, wow. Reverse harems are a favorite of mine. What a treat with this family, poly amorous it is. Interesting to the end. See you next time.

Editing and Hockey Research Would Have Made This Better
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
A bit of editing and research needed here. Maybe I’m just a hockey fan, but if you’re going to use actual NHL teams as opponents, please make sure you use actual NHL teams and not NBA team names. At the beginning of chapter 24, they play the “Philadelphia 76ers” which is NOT Philly’s NHL team. That’s an insult to Gritty and the Flyers, Philly’s actual NHL team. Honestly, if you’re going to use a fictional NHL team, them just make all the opponent teams fictional too. Additionally, I believe that trainers have an entire area to themselves, not just an office with one or two tables. June wouldn’t have to go through the locker room to tear the players; more likely she has her own space and office area. war the workout and recovery areas.

I loved the characters and the storyline. Even a little mystery weaved in to the RH experience. The story made me laugh, cringe, hold my breath, and get sweaty. The love scenes were 🔥🔥🔥 🔥!!!! Great story to read!

So So Amazing
Format: Kindle
I received this book wiht the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review. In this book we meet June Wilder, Rhett Lawson, Cole Thibault, & Elias Nystrom. When this book opens we find that June has just joined the Atlanta Reapers as their new physical trainer. From the moment she starts she knows that she is going to get push back but there is something about not only this team but these guys that have become more to her than she thought when she first started. Rhett is the kind of guy who make a joke with anyone. One night when something happens with June he realizes there is something more than just jokes with her. Cole has been compartmentalized his life for years now. With the addition of June to the team he finds himself finding a person who understands his compartments and lets him be him. Elias is a man who is a an island. When he learns that opening up to one person who sees him allows him to grow and heal in many ways. Can they all find a HEA or will their positions make that impossible? Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
