Richard worked for Saint-Louis for many years. Since winning the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2015, Richard has continued to push his technique, creating some of the most interesting and artistically technical work France has seen in decades.

In this piece Richard has teamed up with celebrated Belgian artist Renaud De Putter to create something altogether unique and beautiful.

As a skilled painter, Renaud has used enamels on an opaque white blank to hand-paint Alexander the Great executed in a detailed blue and black with an ornate headdress and gold leaf decorated background. Richard has framed the bust with a blue twisted ribbon torsade and encased over a colorless transparent ground and finished with a large top facet.
