The Orvis Mission Two-Handed Rod Series is a comprehensive American-made seven-rod series encompassing the two-handed casting spectrum from compact and versatile 11-foot rods to big-water 14- and 15-foot models. Mission rods are the result of Helios™ 3 design advancement techniques, tested by experts from the Pacific Northwest to Europe.

Helios 3 construction design dampens vibrations, making casts easier and more accurate with an inherent autocorrect that allows even a mediocre cast to be rescued by these rods. The increased hoop strength we obtain by using H3 construction means less energy lost and more efficient energy transfer. It is easier to develop fluid power in the cast with less effort, because the rods dampen quicker with no wobble, shooting long casts with accurate presentation. Made in USA.

The Mission 4-piece Two-Handed 3 WT 11'4"  Fly Rod is the lightest weight two-handed rod we offer. This trout Spey rod is great for swinging flies and will allow you to fish parts of the river your single-hander won't reach. Ideal for soft hackles and smaller streamers in shallow water. The Mission 114-3 will help you uncover new possibilities in familiar waters.

The Mission 6-piece Two-handed 9 WT 14'0" fly rods were custom designed and built for those who travel to the big salmon rivers of Scandinavia, the UK, Canadian Maritimes, and the big steelhead and salmon rivers of the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia. Designed by Orvis rod designers to offer exceptional build, power, and action to handle both Skagit heads and Scandi lines with ease. The Mission 149-6 is the perfect big-water rod for someone who wants a powerful rod that's a bit lighter and easier to handle, but still offers the desired power and reach.

Your high-energy dog will love it!
Why did I wait so long to get one of these?!? I am the stereotypical throws-like-a-girl person, and my dog really needs to have an option that forces her to run far and fast. This is it. I can get that ball half a soccer field away at a minimum if I want. The ball is super bouncy, which adds an element of fun to her attempts to tame it and bring it back. Super worth the money (which wasn't much!). I've never had one of these before, so can't compare to the non-folding version. This one is easy to carry and fits in a drawer for storrage. No way you can fit it in a pocket, especially if you have a phone in one and dog treats in the other.

Great usability
I prefer this version over the non-foldable stick, as this one I can fit into my bag and carry it out easily. Great size and has a locking feature to prevent it from folding up when throwing. Highly recommend, my dogs love fetch and it is hard to chew if they get their hands on it.

Almost Perfect
If you’ve ever seen these things, the foldable ones are just as good as the standard ones. I just wish when you folded it up there was a way to lock it into that position. When you unfold it to play, you lock it into place with the orange locking slide so it doesn’t fold up on you. But when you’re done playing and fold it up, there’s no way to lock it into that position, it can keep unfolding if you carry it around with you, plus the orange locking slide keeps sliding up and down. It’s not a huge deal, but they could’ve made it better.
