Gorilla Mode is a straightforward pre-workout that focuses on real performance, not just a caffeine overload. Lots of pre-workouts dump in tons of stims and skimp on the rest. This one does it right with a chill 200mg caffeine plus solid doses for pumps, hydration, muscle power, focus, and high-intensity work. You get a well-rounded boost that feels purposeful.

The star here is 5,000mg L-citrulline per scoop. Citrulline boosts nitric oxide – that's the stuff that widens blood vessels for better flow. It works better than straight arginine because it converts in your body. Studies back 6-8g as ideal, so 5g is close and delivers that full, dense pump you notice during sets.

Creatine monohydrate at 2,500mg is a good chunk of your daily needs. Creatine helps refill quick energy in muscles for heavy lifts or sprints. Aim for 3-5g total per day, so this helps but isn't the full deal on its own.

L-tyrosine at 2,500mg is a highlight. It's the building block for dopamine and other focus chemicals that get used up in tough workouts. Paired with caffeine, it keeps your head in the game when things get rough.

Betaine anhydrous at 2

GM Pre-Workout by Gorilla Mind contains 4500mg L-Citrulline, a clinical dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • 5,000mg L-Citrulline — solid dose for pumps by boosting nitric oxide through the arginine path. It's way better than taking arginine directly, and it's one of the best-studied pump ingredients out there.
  • 2,500mg L-Tyrosine — killer amount for keeping focus strong under stress. It's what your body uses to make dopamine and adrenaline, so it's perfect when training starts wearing you down.
  • 200mg Caffeine Anhydrous — just enough to wake you up and cut fatigue without going overboard. It teams up great with tyrosine and the focus ingredients for steady energy.
  • 2,000mg Betaine Anhydrous — spot-on dose for more power, endurance, and keeping cells hydrated. Betaine pulls water into muscles and helps with energy processes during workouts.
  • 2,500mg Creatine Monohydrate — real help toward your daily creatine goal. It recharges quick energy for heavy sets and explosive moves.
  • 400mg Alpha-GPC — boosts focus, power, and that muscle connection feel. It supplies choline for acetylcholine, the brain chemical for attention and muscle signals.
  • 100mcg Huperzine A — strong nootropic that keeps acetylcholine around longer by slowing its breakdown. You feel sharper focus that lasts, not just a quick buzz.
  • 500mg Pink Himalayan Sea Salt — not just for show. Sodium helps with blood volume, muscle pumps, hydration, and contractions, especially if you sweat a lot or train in heat.

Who Is This For?

  • Intermediate bodybuilders in growth phases wanting more than basic energy. 5g citrulline, 500mg salt, 2g betaine give fuller pumps, denser sessions, better contractions; 2.5g tyrosine and 400mg Alpha-GPC keep you connected in long workouts.
  • Powerbuilders mixing heavy lifts and volume. 2.5g creatine helps quick energy for strength, caffeine/tyrosine/citrulline bridge intensity to pump work.
  • After-work trainers needing real support without heavy stims. 200mg caffeine is usable, plus tyrosine, Alpha-GPC, huperzine A for focus and performance.
  • Heavy sweaters who fade from dehydration. 500mg salt and 2g betaine balance fluids, so pumps last, performance holds, sessions feel stable.
  • Guys past basic pre-workouts who spot weak formulas. Full doses like 5g citrulline, 2.5g creatine, 2.5g tyrosine, 2g betaine let you compare to what works.
  • High-volume lifters needing brain boost as much as body. Tyrosine, Alpha-GPC, caffeine, huperzine A stack focus for sessions where pace and form slip.

How to Use

Go with 1 serving 20-30 minutes pre-workout to let caffeine, tyrosine, and focus hit by go-time. If stims bug you or it's new, check tolerance and maybe start small if scoops allow. Shake in a bottle, not stir – big doses mix better. More water tastes better and sits easier. Empty stomach speeds it up, but light food 60-90 minutes before helps if you're sensitive. Skip stacking with other caffeine or stim stuff, or extra huperzine/choline. Add daily creatine to hit 3-5g for full perks. No need to cycle for safety, but breaks keep the 200mg feeling fresh. Store sealed, cool, dry to keep it fresh.

What to Expect

First 0-10 minutes, not much besides sipping and getting hyped. 10-20 minutes in, caffeine hits with better alertness and sharper head from Alpha-GPC and huperzine A. By 20-40 minutes, peak time: 200mg caffeine, 2.5g tyrosine, focus stack feel full on, 5g citrulline and sodium build that pump as sets stack up. 40-90 minutes, it holds steady without wild ups and downs since it's not super stimmy. Days 1-7, you feel energy, focus, pumps right away. Weeks 2-4, creatine saturates more, so heavy efforts feel easier. Betaine shines with regular use too.

Key Ingredients

  • L-Citrulline — Drives nitric oxide for fuller, harder training pumps
  • Creatine Monohydrate — 2500mg — Supports ATP recycling for strength and repeated output
  • L-Tyrosine — Helps preserve focus when training stress gets high
  • Betaine Anhydrous — Supports power output and cellular hydration under load
  • Caffeine Anhydrous — Increases alertness and lowers perceived training effort
  • Huperzine A — Extends acetylcholine signaling for more sustained focus

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Gorilla Mode Pre-Workout Formula?

Each serving contains 200mg caffeine anhydrous. That is a meaningful pre-workout dose that supports energy, alertness, and reduced perceived exertion, but it stays below the 300-400mg range common in many high-stim formulas.

Is 5,000mg of L-citrulline enough to feel a pump?

Yes, 5g is a strong real-world pump dose and well above what many generic pre-workouts provide. Research commonly centers around 6-8g as a classic clinical range, so this sits slightly below that benchmark but still delivers meaningful nitric oxide and blood flow support.

Does this product contain a full daily dose of creatine?

It contains 2,500mg creatine monohydrate per serving, which is a useful amount but not the full 3-5g daily target most people use for complete saturation. If creatine performance benefits are a priority, many users will want additional creatine elsewhere in the day.

What does the 2,500mg L-tyrosine actually do in this formula?

L-tyrosine acts as a precursor to dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, which are neurotransmitters heavily involved in focus and stress performance. In a pre-workout setting, that means it is designed to help keep your head clear and engaged as training fatigue builds.

Why are Alpha-GPC and huperzine A included together?

Alpha-GPC supplies choline for acetylcholine synthesis, while huperzine A slows the breakdown of acetylcholine by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase. Together they create a more pronounced cholinergic focus effect than either ingredient would likely provide alone.

Is this a good pre-workout for beginners?

It is better suited to intermediate users than complete beginners. The 200mg caffeine is manageable for many people, but the combination of caffeine, high-dose tyrosine, Alpha-GPC, and huperzine A can feel strong if you have little stimulant or nootropic experience.

Can I stack Gorilla Mode with coffee or an energy drink?

You can, but you need to count total caffeine carefully because this formula already provides 200mg caffeine anhydrous. Stacking extra stimulants also increases the chance of jitteriness, elevated heart rate, poor sleep, and a less clean training experience.

Should I take this every day or only on training days?

Most users reserve it for training days because the main immediate benefits are pre-workout energy, pump, and focus. If you rely on it for the creatine contribution, remember that 2.5g per training day alone may not be enough to maintain full saturation without additional creatine intake.

Will this pre-workout cause a niacin flush?

Unlikely. The formula uses niacinamide rather than nicotinic acid, and niacinamide does not activate the receptor pathway responsible for the classic niacin flush.

Why is magnesium included if the dose is only 25mg?

The form is high quality—magnesium bisglycinate—but the dose is small and should be viewed as supportive rather than a full magnesium supplement. It is a nice formulation detail, not a primary performance driver.

fit and comfort
Size: 8.5, Color: Grey, Size: 8.5, Color: Grey
Perfect fit, i was a little anxious about the size and fit. As you can see in the pictures, they look great and they are very light. I would give them a five-star rating as the comfort is there, only the point is a little hard on the toes, I hope that goes away with usage.

Comfortable Oxford style shoes
Size: 10, Color: Black, Size: 10, Color: Black
Comfortable shoes that almost slip on each time. The material is a cotton mesh that is very soft and breathes well. I would not recommend walking in wet grass as the water can get through the mesh and make your feet wet. I normally wear size 10 for sneakers and this was true to size. I have extra room in the toe box. I do think the shoe feels a little narrow, but with the mesh area being stretchy, it does not cause any discomfort. The narrowness of the shoe makes it look more form fitting around my feet. Overall the shoe is comfortable while also giving an impression of high quality foot wear. It looks elegant too. The shoes also seem pretty durable given how much they feel like sneakers. The leather at the tip of the shoe does not scuff easily, which is great! Overall good value too!

Poor quality. Returned after arrival, soles seem to be made of plastic.

High End Style Without the Markup
Size: 12, Color: Navy, Size: 12, Color: Navy
I love the deep navy color of these shoes because it looks even richer in person than it does in the online photos. I usually wear a size 12 and these do have some extra room so could have gone down a half size. The white sole creates a nice contrast that makes the navy color pop. For me, these hit that perfect sweet spot where I look put together at work that is business casual without feeling like I am wearing stiff or formal dress shoes. These are comfortable shoes because the fabric is breathable and keeps my feet cool throughout the day. I especially like that the toe box bends naturally and does not leave ugly permanent creases across the top of the shoe. The padding around the ankle is soft and there is no rubbing even when I am walking a lot. My favorite part has to be the slight stretch around the opening because it lets me kick them off or slide them on without having to touch the laces. This is a total win for my lazy side and makes them my go to pair when I am headed out the door in a hurry. The stitching feels very durable and the overall build quality seems like it will hold up for a long time.
