Volume V: The Fifth Army Corps, offers an in-depth look at Major General George Sykes and his regiments at the Battle of Gettysburg. The famous Fifth Corps was full of battle-tested veterans in the United States Regular Infantry and the Pennsylvania Reserves, as well as many regiments eager to prove themselves in action, such as Vincent's and Weed's brigades. While they are primarily known as the saviors of Little Round Top, the Fifth Corps was also heavily involved in the fighting at the Wheatfield and some of the only Union offenses on July 3rd and 4th.
