The Watts double check valve DCV backflow preventers are designed to protect portable drinking water in the mains supplies from cross-connections from water applications such as irrigation, fireline or industrial processing. The use of the Watts double check valves DCV back flow preventer must be in accordance with the Australian national plumbing codes and local plumbing requirements, who shall deem the applications as non-health hazardous in nature. The local authorities will have the jurisdiction regarding the vertical orientation, frequency of testing or any other requirements.
