Arguments about taxation are among the most heated- no other topic is as influential to the role of government and the distribution of costs and benefits in America. But while understanding of our tax system is of vital importance, the complexity can create confusion. Two of America's leading authorities on taxes, Leonard E. Burman and Joel Slemrod, bring clarity in this concise explanation of how our tax system works, how it affects people and businesses, and how it might be improved. The book explores what makes a tax system fair, simple, and efficient, why our system falls short, and whether the new tax law promises much, if any, improvement. Accessibly written and organized in a clear, question-and-answer format, the book describes the intricacies of the modern tax system in an easy-to-grasp manner. It has been revised and updated to both explain the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) in 2017, the most comprehensive reform of its income tax system since 1986, and to examine its likely effects on individuals, businesses, and society. Among the questions discussed are: How much more tax could the IRS collect with better enforcement? How do tax burdens vary around the world? Why do corporations pay so little tax, even though they earn trillions of dollars every year? What kind of tax system is most conducive to economic growth? And, can taxes be fair?Binding Type: Paperback

It's okay to cry
Format: Kindle
This picture book beautifully normalizes the reasons why children (and adults) may cry. It passes no judgment and does not belittle. Rather, some of the many reasons for tears are described; these include anger, sadness and happiness among others. Crying is seen as a normal response to being human. At the end of the book, there is additional information, some of it scientific, about tears. The book is sensitively illustrated with gorgeous pictures that enhance the text. This would be a great title to share with a child you know.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this read in exchange for an honest review.

Great product
Style: Sustainable - Stretch Cloth, Size: 3 Count (Pack of 1)
I like the material, it seems to hold up that I haven’t had it very long. It dries completely between showers. It’s not over exfoliating.

Organic Cotton, Washcloth, and Gentle are Misleading
Style: Sustainable - Stretch Cloth, Size: 3 Count (Pack of 1)
I purchased this product because I was looking for a stretch washcloth to easily wash sunscreen off my back. All of the references in the descriptions to organic cotton are extremely misleading. The handles may be made of cotton but the “washcloth” is plastic and extremely rough. So washcloth is also misleading. It is stretchy - that is accurate. If you want to buy this product, don’t envision a typical washcloth that is bigger with handles because you will be disappointed as I was. The natural fiber scrub pads I bought to scrub my dishes are softer than these stretchy “washcloths”. And I didn’t read the fine print that it cannot be returned so now I am out $30.

Quick shipping, good seller
Style: Sustainable - Stretch Cloth, Size: 3 Count (Pack of 1)
These weren't what I hoped they were, so I wasn't all that pleased with them. The seller, though shipped them quickly. I cut them in half and am using them to scrub my back. I was looking for a cotton face cloth.
