I selected wall signs for Indian Motorcycles and a soda named Quiky for the background. I have an upright Coke machine in my studio, but Ive always wanted one of the horizontal raise the lid machines I remember from my childhood, so I included one in this painting. I often see vendors who restore machines at auction events where I can photograph
