Venture Arts is an award-winning visual arts organisation working with learning disabled artists to create opportunities in arts and culture.

Violet Emsley creates artwork in print, textiles and paint. She has historically worked more in textiles, but as her eyesight has worsened, she prefers to work more intuitively with paint and colour. Two of Violet’s paintings featured in the YESS LAD exhibition, which ran at TJ Boulting during Frieze London in 2022, and as part of the National Festival of Making in 2023.
