1/700 Special 024 IJN Battleship Musashi (1944/Shiai Ichi Operation)
The battleship Musashi was a symbol of the Allied Fleet along with the Yamato. Re-issued with additional precision molded 25mm triple machine gun parts and specification changes.
The product is an unpainted kit requiring adhesive assembly and painting.
The scale is 1/700 and is an offshore model not including the bottom of the ship.
The product uses conventional (special series) molds.
The battleship Musashi was the second ship of the Yamato class, the last ship type designed and built by the Imperial Japanese Navy, and was completed at the Kure Naval Arsenal in August 1942, the year after the war began.
She carried nine 46cm cannons, the largest in the world, and had a drainage capacity of 64,000 tons, making her an unprecedented ship.
On the same day of completion, it was incorporated into the Allied Fleet.
As aircraft were becoming the mainstay of warfare, Musashi was refitted to strengthen her anti-aircraft armament, and she fought in the Battle of the Mariana Sea and the Battle of Leyte.
In October 1944, the U.S. forces landed on Hishima Island, and Musashi participated in Operation Shoichi (Battle of Leyte) as a member of the combined forces of the Allied Fleet under Yamato and Nagato, but was sunk in the Sea of Sibuyan by an air attack.
The product is modeled after the ship as it appeared during Operation Sho Ichi I (Battle of Leyte) in October 1944.
- The model is based on the appearance of the ship at the time of the Battle of Leyte in October 1944.
- The aft mast is equipped with a No. 13 electric probe, the final configuration for the Musashi.
The hull is composed of the port, starboard, and upper wooden deck sections in one piece.
- The porthole windows, a characteristic of the later stages of the war, are molded convex to show them closed.
- The wooden deck is represented by convex mold.
- The parts including the hull and bottom plate are molded in gray color.
- The bridge and chimney are laminated on both sides.

- The main gun has the barrel and canvas in one piece, and the elevation angle is fixed at the mooring position.
- The secondary gun is reduced to two guns, and the turret and gun barrel are integrated parts.
- The 25mm triple machine gun (without shield) comes with both conventional molded parts and precision molded parts for 2018, making it possible to choose.
- The 25mm 3-gun with shield has a choice of two barrel elevation angles: high elevation or fixed position.
- Two types of water reconnaissance planes are included: a Type Zero observation plane and a Type Zero (three-seater) water reconnaissance plane.
- The color of the aircraft is gray.
Three types of decals are included in the kit: - Decals of warship flags, the Nissho flag, and markings of shipboard aircraft.
Three sizes of flags are provided.
The decals are 1/700 scale versions of the actual 10-width, 6-width, and 3-width flags.
- Included are the sunburst and the identification band (yellow band) of the ship's aircraft, including the sunburst without the white border of the later stages of World War II.
- Decals include draft markings, the chrysanthemum crest on the bow, and the ship's name on the stern (in gold or filled-in warship colors).
- Decals are included for easy reproduction of the walking strip on the aft flight deck.
Molded parts are in two colors: gray and transparent.

Bedsure has impressed me again.

Giving this a five star because it’s the millionth Bedsure bedding I have bought for my home. I absolutely love this company for its affordability and the quality of their products. I recently purchased the Mellow temp control duvet and needed a good quality cover. I immediately went to bedside and found this baby. It’s 100% organic cotton, you can verify it with the cards that are included and the color is perfect! I ordered the King size in the color Linen for my queen size bed because I like my comforters to hang off the sides. Out of the package, the cover was soft and has zero smell. I did wash it as instructed on a cold wash with both detergent and softener then dried on a no heat tumble for about 50 mins x I wouldn’t say this is wrinkle resistance right out of the dryer but the minimal wrinkles do not bother me as I’m sure it will smoothen out overtime. The quality of this feels soooo good, I can not wait to jump into bed later. Nothing makes me happier than a comfy cool bed and cool room at nights. I love that this has a zipper instead of buttons or ties. It gives the bedding a more cohesive look. My husband is not easily impressed with bedding the way I am and his comment was “this is so soft”. As you can see in the photo, my cat immediately took up residence on the bed as soon as I made it up.
