One vegan capsule of algae oil contains 250 mg Omega-3 DHA, just like the regular algae oil capsule. It has been scientifically proven that this daily amount of DHA is good for vision (helps to maintain clear vision) and is good for brain function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA. These are legally approved health claims. As much as 20% of the fat in our brains consists of Omega-3 DHA; it is an important building block for the brain (just like calcium is for the bones). The vegetable vitamin D3 in this algae oil capsule is important for maintaining strong bones and strong teeth. Vitamin D3 also ensures good resistance and plays a role in maintaining strong muscles. An increasingly large group of people receive little sun for a large part of the year to produce the necessary vitamin D. These are people who spend a lot of time indoors (the elderly, people in the office, children who play a lot of games, people with covering clothing or people on night shifts).
