The Influence of the Early 16th Century on Artistic Expression
The early 16th century marked a vibrant period in art history known as the Renaissance. The cultural revival of classical antiquity inspired many artists to explore new techniques and perspectives, leading to masterpieces that still resonate today.Fra Bartolomeo: Life and Artistic Journey
Fra Bartolomeo, born in 1472 in Florence, was a Dominican friar and painter. His real name was Bartolomeo di Giovanni Battista, and he trained under the renowned painter, Domenico Ghirlandaio. His spiritual journey deeply influenced his art, as he sought to convey divine truths through his paintings. Bartolomeo's works often reflect a harmonious blend of religious devotion and artistic innovation, making him a significant figure in the Renaissance art movement.Symbolism and Iconography in Vision of St Bernard
Understanding the Role of St Bernard in Christian Mysticism

Oil Painting Techniques: Layering and Glazing Explained

The glazing process also enhances the vibrancy of the colors, giving the painting a lifelike quality that draws viewers in.Brushwork and Texture: Creating Depth in Vision of St Bernard
The brushwork in "Vision of St Bernard" is meticulous and deliberate. Fra Bartolomeo used fine brushes to create intricate details, especially in the faces of the saints. The texture of the fabric and the softness of the skin are rendered with precision, showcasing his attention to detail. This careful brushwork contributes to the overall depth of the painting, inviting viewers to explore every aspect of the scene.Thematic Elements: Faith, Vision, and Divine Revelation
Exploring the Concept of Divine Inspiration in Art

This theme resonates with the Renaissance belief in the transformative power of art, where creativity and faith intertwine.Contrasting Human Experience with Spiritual Enlightenment
The contrast between human experience and spiritual enlightenment is a central theme in this artwork. St Bernard's vision represents a moment of clarity amidst the chaos of life. EXACTLY as advertised and MORE! HIGHLY recommended! 😊
Scent: Unscented
I've been using this product for 2 years and it works as stated. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate my skin at all.
Every so often, I've asked those close to me if they've noticed any odors over the past two years and they've always replied no. I've used other brands previously that were specifically labeled as "gentle" or for "sensitive skin", which were anything but. Those were also HIGHLY scented and irritated my skin, unlike this product which is very effective without all the unnecessary chemical additives. I feel the coconut oil has soothing properties and it actually helps keep my underarm skin healthy instead of making it parched, like other brands do.
This product doesn't state that it's for sensitive skin but for me it's far more gentle than any other brand I've used. I also like that it doesn't contain any harsh anti-perspirants so my body can breathe and cool itself off properly through the natural act of sweating. The act of sweating releases toxins through your skin pores so it's not healthy to impede that process. This product supports that natural process by not containing any anti-perspirant chemicals.
Although it's labeled as unscented, science will tell you that everything in the world has a scent (even water) and this product has a very minimal wisp of a scent that's nearly imperceptible. Manufacturer's usually refer to this as a 'masking scent' so you don't notice the smell of chemicals in a product. However, this product has minimal chemicals (that's why I chose it) so there's not much to cover up and that's a good thing!
Neither I, nor anyone else that I've asked, can detect a fragrance. The ONLY time I can smell anything is when I apply it to my underarms, so the product is obviously in closer proximity to my nose. As I glide it across my skin a faint scent of a Lifesaver's pineapple flavor candy takes me immediately back to my happy childhood memories. It lasts for a few seconds and then it's gone. Could just be me but every time I use this I end up with a smile on my face. 😊
I think this happens because your underarm skin is warm so the deodorant also warms and the solidified coconut oil melts a bit as you apply it, which releases the barely-there scent. I don't smell coconut, I smell glorious pineapple! Whoever thought to make it like this is genius! For those of you who don't smell anything for those few seconds, you're missing out.

Best natural deodorant
Scent: Coconut & Vanilla
I discovered Native Deodorant through an excellent rating on the Yuka app and decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. The formula contains naturally derived ingredients, which was an important factor in my decision.
What impressed me most was how effective it is. It provides reliable odor protection throughout the day without irritation, and the application is so smooth and lightweight that it’s practically unnoticeable once applied. There’s no sticky or greasy feeling, and it feels comfortable from the moment it goes on.
Overall, this has been one of the best natural deodorants I’ve used. It combines clean ingredients with excellent performance, making it an easy product to recommend.

Good Natural Deodorant smelling fresh
Scent: Eucalyptus & Mint
I switched to Native after wanting to move away from aluminum-based deodorants and I've been really happy with it. The eucalyptus and mint scent is clean and crisp without being overpowering — it smells fresh in the morning and you can still catch a hint of it later in the day.
The stick goes on smoothly without that waxy drag some natural deodorants have, and I haven't had any white marks on dark shirts. Odor control has held up well through a normal workday and light activity. It's not an antiperspirant so you'll still sweat, but the scent stays pleasant.
No irritation for me even after the first few days, which is usually when baking soda formulas would get my skin angry. Overall a solid everyday deodorant — would buy again.

Great Performance, Just Not My Favorite Scent
Scent: Citrus & Herbal Musk
I’ve been using this Native deodorant for a while now, and overall it’s been a pretty solid option, especially if you’re trying to stick with something more natural. It goes on smooth, doesn’t feel greasy, and I like that it doesn’t leave behind a bunch of residue on clothes. It also holds up well throughout the day—definitely reliable for everyday use.
One of the big positives for me is the ingredient list. It’s aluminum-free and made with simpler, naturally derived ingredients, which is something I’ve been trying to prioritize more. It still manages to control odor effectively without feeling harsh on the skin, which isn’t always the case with natural deodorants.
As for the scent, it’s… fine. The citrus and herbal musk combo is clean and not overpowering, but it’s not my favorite either. I don’t dislike it, but I also wouldn’t go out of my way to pick this particular fragrance again—just comes down to personal preference.
Overall, it’s a dependable deodorant that works well and feels good to use. If the scent hits for you, it could easily be a go-to.

Love Native
Scent: Buttercream & French Vanilla
Great deodorant that’s aluminum free. Love all the Native deodorants. Helps keep body odor at bay. Goes on smooth and doesn’t tug on skin. If switching from an aluminum deodorant to this, give your body some time to adjust. Purchase all kinds of different scent and love them all. May leave some white marks on shirts if shirt rubs against your underarms.
